About us
Starting as an 18-foot coffee truck, we've transformed into a charming café named '18feet' to honor our roots.
Each cup reflects our journey from roadside beginnings to a welcoming atmosphere. Our commitment to exceptional coffee and homemade Cheong (Korean handcrafted puree) delights remains strong, and we invite you to be part of our evolving story.
18feet Espresso Bar & The Cheong began as a mobile haven for coffee and unique 'Cheong' experiences, focusing on trendy Korean menu items that resonate with students.
With two locations near the University of Toronto and Toronto Metropolitan University, we cater to the discerning tastes of university students.Looking ahead, we aim to expand our menu with Korean-style pastries, cookies, and sandwiches, making us the most trendy brunch café closest to Seoul's vibrant brunch scene in Toronto.

Our Journey

From coffee truck to café, our journey tells a story of growth and flavor.

August 2019
The first journey of 18feet, a coffee truck, started at the University of Toronto campus
Started Coffee Truck in front of UofT
March 2020
Sold the truck during COVID
February 2023
Opened the first cafe at 364 Huron St
(right across UofT Robarts Library)

Lumio, previously called Foenix, was a social media analytics company that helped brands like Audi, David Jones and Red Balloon source legitimate influencers for social media campaigns.

“We were essentially the Instagram police and called out fake influencers left, right and centre. It was fun and all, but there is only so many bikini chicks you can look at on Instagram before you start losing your mind.”

Dan, Co-founder and CEO of Lumio

November 2023
Pop-up store at 199 College St (nearby UofT University)

“After this, we both took up golf on during the week and started eating fancy dinners at the local Country Club... Ha. This is not what happened at all. We suck at golf and love eating Guzman Y Gomez.”

Adam, Co-founder of Lumio

February 2024
Closed the first cafe at 364 Huron St (due to building demolition)
March 2024
Relocated the cafe at 86 Gerrard St E
(in front of Toronto Metropolitan University)

relume

verb

[ri-loom]
To relight or rekindle (a light, flame, etc.)

March 2024
Closed Pop-up Store at 199 College St
September 2024
Opened second store at 144 College St (inside UofT Pharmacy building)

To do this they would have to build a company that would be profitable in its first year. Not the next Uber of *insert clever idea*.
